The project required creating a comprehensive book design that would showcase and preserve the rich tradition of Pag lace, a UNESCO-protected cultural heritage. The challenge was to design a book that would not only document this historic craft but also present it in a visually stunning way that honors its artistic and cultural significance.
We developed a sophisticated book design that balances historical documentation with contemporary aesthetics:
- Book Design & Layout – Created an elegant, clean layout design. Developed a consistent visual hierarchy. Designed custom page templates. Implemented professional typography. Balanced text and visual elements. Created detailed photo layouts. Designed chapter openings and section breaks.
- Visual Elements – Designed an elegant cover that captures the essence of Pag lace. Created custom patterns inspired by lace motifs. Developed consistent page numbering and navigation. Implemented sophisticated image placement. Designed decorative elements and chapter markers. Created detailed captions and annotations.
- Technical Specifications – Full book layout and pagination. Cover design (front, back, and spine). Typography selection and hierarchy. Image placement and photo editing. Color management for print. Print-ready file preparation. Technical specifications for printing.
- Content Organization – Structured chapters and sections. Created visual rhythm throughout the book. Developed consistent margins and spacing. Designed table of contents. Created index and reference sections. Implemented photo credits and acknowledgments.
